GERGIEV in CARDIFF :
Parsifal & Mahler Symphony No. 8
30 March - 2 April 2012

Valery Gergiev and the Mariinsky orchestra, chorus and soloists are joined by considerable choral forces from the Valleys to perform Wagner’s Parsifal and Mahler’s magnificent Symphony of One Thousand in the splendid setting of Cardiff’s Millenium Centre. We also visit the Welsh National Museum

In 2006 we took a party to stay at this hotel and attend the first UK performance of the Mariinsky Ring (seen in summer 2009 at Covent Garden). The hotel proved ideal – a pleasant walk from town and to the Millenium Centre, it had adequate parking and good food. It now has spa facilities as well.

Good tickets for PARSIFAL (31 March) with interval meal and MAHLER 8 (1 April) and three nights at a modern 4* hotel with spa facilities close to the Millennium Centre. Two introductory talks and tour of Cardiff. Travel and meals (other than Parsifal second interval) not included. £440 per person sharing. £90 single supplement. Full payment please with application.
